Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what personal information The Shnider Group LLC (“we,” “us”) collects through theshnidercfogroup.com and our Financial Clarity tools (together, the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Membership account: your name, email address and password when you create an account. Accounts are managed by our membership provider, Memberstack; we do not see your password.
- Payment: billing details when you buy a plan. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the plan purchased, but not your full card number.
- Free-tool sign-up, template downloads and contact requests: your name, email address and (optionally) company name when you request the free version of Financial Clarity, download a template or ebook, or contact us, and whether you asked to receive updates. These messages are delivered to us through EmailJS.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: like any website, the services that host and deliver the Site (Netlify for hosting, Google Fonts for typefaces and Cloudflare for a charting library) receive your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so they can deliver the page.
- No analytics or advertising tracking: we do not currently use analytics services, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use only what is needed for the Site to work:
| Name / type | Set by | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| Membership session cookies and browser storage | Memberstack | Keep you signed in and confirm your plan so paid tools open | Strictly necessary |
fc-cookie-consent (browser storage) | Us | Remember your cookie choice so the notice does not reappear | Strictly necessary |
tsg-dl-contact (browser storage) | Us | Remember that you already gave your name and email on the Templates page, so other downloads start without asking again | Strictly necessary |
openTab (session storage) | Us | Reopen the tool you selected; cleared when the tab closes | Strictly necessary |
Your choices: the cookie notice lets you choose “Accept” or “Essential only,” and you can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Today both choices behave the same, because we set no optional cookies; if we add any later, they will load only after you click Accept. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
Do Not Track: because we do not track visitors across other websites, the Site does not change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We do not allow third parties to collect information about your online activities across sites through our Site.
How we use information
- To create and manage your membership and give you access to the tools you purchased
- To process payments and send receipts and account notices
- To respond to your questions and requests, including free-tool sign-ups
- To deliver templates you request and follow up about them
- To send occasional updates about our tools and services if you asked to receive them; every message includes a way to unsubscribe
- To keep the Site secure and working, and to comply with legal obligations
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site, under their own privacy terms:
- Memberstack — membership accounts and sign-in
- Stripe — payment processing
- EmailJS — delivery of sign-up and contact forms
- Netlify — website hosting
- Google Fonts and Cloudflare (cdnjs) — delivery of fonts and a charting library
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.
How long we keep information
We keep account and payment records for as long as your membership is active and afterward as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Contact and sign-up information is kept until you ask us to delete it or it is no longer needed.
Security
The Site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and accounts and payments are handled by established providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
- Access, correct or delete: email us and we will review, update or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law.
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any message, or email us.
- Membership: you can update your account details or cancel your plan from your account, or by contacting us.
California residents: you may request the information above at any time. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's law; contact us and we will honor them as required.
Visitors outside the United States: the Site is operated from the United States, and information is processed there. By using the Site you understand that your information will be handled under U.S. law.
Children
The Site is intended for business owners and professionals. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will post a notice on the Site.
